Which gay beach destination has been voted the best in Europe?
The Spanish island of Ibiza has been voted the most gay-friendly beach destination in Europe, according to new research.
In a study of 1000 British LGBTI travelers conducted by holiday experts On the Beach, Ibiza came out on top with 18% of the vote.
The clubbing capital was followed by Costa del Sol, another Spanish destination, with 10% of the vote.
The entire top five is comprised of Spanish and Greek hotspots. The survey also found that 64% of respondents would consider visiting historically LGBTI-unfriendly destinations.
Alistair Daly, Chief Marketing Officer at On the Beach comments: 'Spain has always been a very popular destination for the LGBT community.
'Our survey shows that many people are unaware of the numerous Pride events held each year around Europe, so our message is do your research and enjoy all these fabulous destinations have to offer.'
