Google Destinations Helps You Plan Your Next Vacation

If you want to find a location based on specific activities, you can search for terms like "Colorado Skiing" or "New Zealand Hiking".

Google said that part of the reason it introduced Destinations was because of the mobile platform's 50 percent spike in travel-related questions a year ago.

After selecting a destination, just tap the "Plan a trip" button and you will see all the rates for hotels and flights. Now, thanks to Destinations on Google, you can have all your best travel options laid out on your mobile.

Using information from the company's search and maps databases, Destinations on Google offers a number of new and innovative features.

This feature will only be available within the mobile interface-as of now Google has no plans to release it on desktops. Things such as weather conditions for the selected period, finding out when the destination of your choice is most popular based on the information that other users have provided. For example, by searching "Europe destinations", you'll be presented with multiple destinations that you can filter by your travel dates, interests (such as "architecture" or "beaches"), and the price. In addition to estimating the cost of a flight and hotel, it allows users to switch their travel dates to help show when prices are at their lowest, or the cost at a particular time of the year. You will customize your results further by tapping the pencil icon, so you'll decide what flights and hotels meet your requirements. Google a continent, country, or state on your phone and append the word "destination". Places to go, costs of doing so, places to stay and fligh t information are all pieces of data the feature will provide you when you use it.

All of this information comes from Google's "Flights and Hotel" search engines, along with its massive directory of local business listings and attractions.

The Destinations feature has been slowly arriving over the last few weeks.
